Blood Tests
VB Aesthetics

If you've purchased a private blood test and need a blood sample, our phlebotomy service is here to help! We understand that GP's may not be able to carry out blood draws for private tests, but that doesn't mean you should have to go without the diagnostic information you need.

Blood tests can provide valuable insights into your physical health and help you make informed decisions about your lifestyle choices. Whether you need a one-time blood draw or regular blood samples for ongoing testing, we're here to make the process easy and convenient for you.

Our nurses ensure the process is as comfortable and stress-free as possible, using sterile techniques and taking all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the accuracy of the results.

How do I prepare for my blood draw?

Once your appointment is booked, you will be emailed a precare questionnaire and consent form.

Follow the instructions on your test kit - if the test that you select requires you to fast (not eat or drink anything except water for 10-14 hours before the sample collection) it will clearly state this on your test.

In general we recommend that you prepare for your test by making sure you are well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, at least 1 pint an hour before your test. Wear clothing that is loose fitting so your arm can be accessed easily.

Some samples require centrifuging with immediate freezing. The patient is responsible for providing ice packs for transportation, as well as posting the samples within the time frame specified by the laboratory.
